Two weeks ago, I learned the most important travel tip of all time. And it is this:
Don’t get deported.
Technically, I was not deported. Technically, they just told me to leave. Refused to renew my visa.
“That’s not deportation. If you’re deported, they pay for the flight!” my dad pointed out, just a little too late.
So I find myself back in the United States, reliving life in the sweaty Midwest. (Seriously guys, I’ve forgotten how to do this!)
I’m still attempting to obtain an Irish visa to return, and Snapchatting Michael so much it’s almost as though I am still there. (Note to self: Make Vine to showcase the constant headache that is cicadas.)
But I’m also reconnecting with old friends (I finally got an American phone number!) and enjoying St. Louis culture.
I think that says it all.
