Father Who? Ireland’s favorite priest

In the wake of the pope’s resignation and the publicity surrounding that, my mind has been on the clergy – one clergyman in particular. A man named Ted.

This past week was the 7th Annual Father Ted Festival – Tedfest. My friends, being Irish, refused to participate in the touristy events in Galway and on Inis Mór, so I had to watch from afar. If you haven’t seen Father Ted (I’m talking to you, Americans), get on Netflix right now.

This reminds me of my days as an altar server.

Set on the fictional Craggy Island in the west of Ireland, the show revolves around a trio of priests and their housekeeper. In the words of one of the creators, the show is about “just two people who happen to be [priests].”

Now take a break from all the articles gossiping about the pope, and go watch some Father Ted!

You know you want to.

You know you want to…

    • There are definitely a lot of choices out there! I would start with a free option. The paid ones are definitely more complicated. Once you get a feel for blogging, you can switch over relatively easily.
